Trump Demands CBS Lose License Over Edited 60 Minutes Harris Interview
Oct 10, 2024, 11:43 PM
Former President Donald Trump and his campaign have accused CBS's '60 Minutes' of election interference after the network allegedly edited Vice President Kamala Harris's interview to make her appear more articulate. Trump has called for CBS to lose its broadcast license, labeling the edits as a 'Fake News Scam.' Trump's adviser Jason Miller has also demanded that CBS fire those responsible for the edits. The Harris campaign has distanced itself from the controversy, stating that they do not control CBS's production decisions. FCC Chair Jessica Rosenworcel has rejected Trump's call to revoke CBS's license. Former CBS staffers have called for an independent investigation into the matter, while CBS has not responded on the record to the allegations. There is precedent for releasing the full transcript, as CBS did with a Trump interview in 2020.
