Coordinated Drones Over U.S. Bases in UK Prompt Deployment of 60 British Troops
Nov 26, 2024, 04:03 PM
Unidentified drones have been spotted flying over three U.S. Air Force bases in the United Kingdom, prompting security concerns and investigations. The drones were seen over RAF Lakenheath, RAF Mildenhall, and RAF Feltwell between November 20 and November 26. The U.S. Air Force confirmed the sightings and noted that the drones' activity appeared coordinated. Around 60 British troops have been deployed to help protect the bases and identify those responsible, amid fears of a possible "sinister" plot. The drones are considered not to be hobbyist models and have not yet been identified as hostile. Pentagon officials stated they are taking the incidents seriously. The incidents have heightened security concerns, and investigations are ongoing to determine the origin and intent of the drone operators.
