Delhi Minister Seeks Landowner Details in Ridge Tree Felling of 1,100 Trees
Jul 20, 2024, 07:15 AM
Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj has requested the Chief Secretary to provide details of landowners in the area where trees were felled in the ridge within a week. The Supreme Court has been inquiring for the past two months about the direction under which the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) cut 1,100 trees. Bharadwaj claims that the orders to cut the trees came from the Delhi LG, and top officials, including Chief Secretary Naresh Kumar, PWD Secretary A Anbarasu, and Environment Principal Secretary AK Singh, were involved. Aam Aadmi Party workers protested against the LG's actions.
