The northeastern Indian state of Assam is experiencing severe flooding due to continuous heavy rains since June 29. The floods have displaced hundreds of thousands of people and affected over 24.50 lakh individuals across 30 districts. At least 64 people have died, and landslides have claimed additional lives. The Brahmaputra River has overflowed, submerging numerous villages in districts such as Morigaon and Barpeta.
