Mike Evans Reaches 100th TD with 25-Yard Catch from Mayfield in Bucs' Opening Drive vs Ravens
Oct 22, 2024, 12:24 AM
Mike Evans, wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, recorded his 100th career receiving touchdown with a 25-yard reception during the team's opening drive against the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. Despite being limited in practice all week, Evans became the 11th player in NFL history and the only active player to reach this milestone. He joins a prestigious group of receivers who achieved 100 touchdown receptions in their first 11 seasons, including Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens, and Marvin Harrison, and is the fifth player to catch all 100 touchdowns with the same team. The Buccaneers won the coin toss and elected to receive, marching 70 yards down the field and converting a crucial fourth-and-1 before Mayfield connected with Evans for the score, giving them an early 7-0 lead. Evans reached 100 touchdown receptions in 161 games, the fifth-fewest games needed to achieve this feat.
