VisitFBI: Iranian Hackers Sent Stolen Trump Campaign Info to Biden-Harris Re-election Team
Sep 18, 2024, 10:28 PM
The FBI, along with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), has revealed that Iranian hackers sent unsolicited emails containing stolen, non-public material from Donald Trump's campaign to individuals associated with President Joe Biden's re-election campaign. The emails, sent in late June and early July, included excerpts from the stolen information. There is currently no indication that the Biden-Harris campaign replied to these emails. The FBI and other federal agencies are continuing to investigate Iran's efforts to interfere with the U.S. election process and note that the stolen information is still being shopped around.
