A 72-year-old man in Montana shot and killed a grizzly bear with a handgun after it attacked him while he was picking huckleberries in Flathead National Forest. The incident occurred on Friday, and the man was seriously injured, requiring hospitalization. Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks (FWP) officials confirmed that the shooting was in self-defense during a surprise encounter.
