Kamala Harris Leads Donald Trump 51%-47% in Latest Polls Ahead of 2024 Election
Oct 27, 2024, 01:51 PM
With just nine days remaining until the 2024 U.S. presidential election, Vice President Kamala Harris has taken a slight lead over former President Donald Trump in several recent polls. According to an ABC News/Ipsos poll, Harris holds a 51% to 47% lead among likely voters. A Marist Poll survey also shows Harris leading Trump by 5 points nationally. The race remains close, with some polls indicating a tie. Harris has a significant lead among young voters, leading Trump by 12 points, although it is smaller than the lead President Biden had in 2020. The election could hinge on a small number of voters in key swing states, with as few as 150,000 voters across 7 states potentially deciding the outcome. Early voting is already underway in several states, including Michigan. Both candidates are actively campaigning, with Harris in Pennsylvania and Trump in New York. The outcome may also be influenced by American voters living abroad and the significant Arab American and Muslim population in Michigan.
