VisitTesla China Achieves Record 15,500 Sales in Q3's Sixth Week, 46% Jump in July
Aug 12, 2024, 05:15 PM
Tesla's operations in China have reached significant milestones, with the company reporting 15,500 vehicle sales in the week of August 5-11, 2024. This marks the best week of the third quarter so far and the third best week of 2024. Tesla's strong performance in China is notable as the country accounts for 65% of new energy vehicles (NEV) manufactured worldwide. In July 2024, Tesla sold 46,000 cars in China, a 46% increase from the previous quarter's first month. The demand surge is attributed to recent incentives and the popularity of Tesla's Model Y, which is the top-selling BEV model in China. Overall, Tesla's total sales in China for 2024 have reached 350,000 vehicles, just 5,000 shy of the 2023 figures at this point in the year.
