Tata Group has entered into a strategic partnership with Morocco to establish its first overseas defence manufacturing plant in Casablanca. The facility, named TATA Advanced Systems Maroc (TASM), will focus on the local production of the WhAP 8x8 land combat vehicle. The initial local integration rate of 35% is expected to increase to 50%. This move aims to serve the African market with advanced armoured vehicles. Tata jets off to create a defence hub in Casablanca.
