Nov 9, 2024, 04:36 AM
China has significantly increased its military flights near Taiwan by 300% over the last five months, according to Gen. Kevin Schneider, commander of the U.S. Air Forces in the Indo-Pacific Command, in an exclusive interview with NBC News. This escalation in military activity has been reported by Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence, which detected 12 PLA aircraft, five naval vessels, and one official ship. This is the third instance of such military coercion by China, following similar drills after then U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit and President Lai's inauguration.
