Stellantis Recalls 1.46 Million Ram Trucks Globally Over Stability Control Issue
Sep 7, 2024, 04:42 PM
Stellantis, the parent company of Chrysler, is recalling nearly 1.5 million Ram pickup trucks worldwide due to a software malfunction in the anti-lock brake system that can disable the electronic stability control system, increasing the risk of a crash. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that dealers will update the anti-lock brake system control module software to remedy the issue. The recall affects approximately 1.2 million vehicles in the United States, including 1,227,808 vehicles specifically due to the disabled electronic stability control system. In total, 1.46 million vehicles are being recalled globally.
