Slowthai and Co-Accused Cleared of Rape Charges at Oxford House Party

Rapper Slowthai, real name Tyron Frampton, has been cleared of raping two women at a house party following one of his performances at The Bullingdon in Oxford in September 2021. The 29-year-old and his co-accused, Alex Blake-Walker, were acquitted of three joint charges of rape at Oxford Crown Court. Blake-Walker was also cleared of an additional charge of sexual assault. After more than ten hours of deliberation, the jury returned not guilty verdicts. Both defendants consistently denied the accusations, maintaining that all sexual activity was consensual. Slowthai burst into tears in the dock as the verdicts were read, and his wife, singer Anne-Marie, sighed in relief. Judge Ian Pringle KC acknowledged the high emotions surrounding the case.
