Saquon Barkley Surpasses 2,000 Rushing Yards, Nears Record After Eagles' Win Over Cowboys

Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has surpassed 2,000 rushing yards for the season during the Eagles' 34-7 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Barkley became the ninth player in NFL history to achieve this milestone. He reached the mark with a 23-yard carry in the fourth quarter, bringing his season totals to 345 carries, 2,005 yards, and 13 touchdowns. This game marked his 11th 100-yard rushing performance of the season. Barkley also broke the Eagles' franchise record for yards from scrimmage, previously set by LeSean McCoy in 2013 with 2,146 yards. The Eagles' crowd celebrated his achievement with chants of "M-V-P," and his teammates congratulated him on the field. Barkley is now 100 yards shy of breaking Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record of 2,105 yards set in 16 games. With one game remaining in the season, Barkley has a chance to set a new NFL record.
