Fanatics Sues Cardinals WR Marvin Harrison Jr. for Breach of $1M Autographed Trading Cards Contract
May 19, 2024, 12:08 AM
Fanatics has filed a lawsuit against Cardinals rookie wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. in the New York Supreme Court, alleging breach of contract. The lawsuit claims that Harrison Jr. signed an autograph agreement with Fanatics in May 2023 worth more than $1 million for autographed trading cards. Harrison Jr.'s team denies the existence of any contract. The lawsuit also mentions a merchandise website named The Official Harrison Collection, which advertises upcoming Cardinals memorabilia. This is the first time Fanatics has sued an athlete out of over 3,000 deals it has conducted. Harrison Jr. did not attend the NFLPA Rookie Premiere due to the absence of an NFLPA licensing deal.
