Alaska Man Panos Anastasiou Indicted for Threatening Six Supreme Court Justices
Sep 19, 2024, 05:50 PM
An Alaska man, Panos Anastasiou, has been indicted on charges of making over 400 violent threats against six conservative justices of the U.S. Supreme Court and their family members. The threats included intentions to torture and assassinate the justices. Anastasiou, 76, was arrested on Wednesday. He has been a frequent donor to Democratic causes through ActBlue, with 82 contributions made as recently as 90 days ago. The indictment, announced by the Justice Department on Thursday, did not specify which justices were targeted, but it is noted that the Supreme Court has a 6-3 conservative majority.
