Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has visited India to deepen the company's AI initiatives in the country. During his visit, Huang announced that Nvidia is offering to co-develop AI chips with India and has launched a Hindi-language AI model on October 24 to enhance accessibility for millions of Hindi speakers. At the Nvidia AI Summit 2024 in Mumbai on October 24, Huang had a fireside chat with Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani, where they discussed AI's pivotal role in reshaping industries and India's emergence as a global AI leader. Huang and Ambani announced that Nvidia and Reliance will partner to build AI infrastructure in India. Nvidia unveiled new partnerships with Indian tech firms, including Reliance, Tech Mahindra, and Flipkart, aiming to accelerate AI development in sectors such as healthcare and customer service. Huang emphasized India’s progress with sovereign AI and noted that over 100,000 AI developers have been trained in the country. Huang also demonstrated the NVLink Switch on stage during the summit.
