Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree increasing the authorized strength of the Russian Armed Forces to 2,389,130 personnel, including 1.5 million active duty military personnel. This marks an increase of 180,000 military personnel from the previous staffing level set in December 2023, which was 2,209,130 personnel with 1,320,000 military personnel. The decree will come into force on December 1, 2024. The information was released on the official legal information website on Monday.
