Dec 28, 2024, 09:28 AM
Roketsan's ALKA laser weapon system has demonstrated its technological superiority in comprehensive testing, successfully engaging and neutralizing various threats. During the tests, multiple ALKA systems, powered at 20kW, locked onto and destroyed aerial threats such as FPV drones and fixed-wing UAVs, as well as ground threats including improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and 10mm explosive reactive armor (ERA) placed at different distances. The system's capabilities against armored targets were also showcased, highlighting its effectiveness in diverse combat scenarios. ALKA operates as a hybrid system with a dual-layered defense architecture, first disrupting threats with electromagnetic technology before engaging them with laser technology.
