U.S. Bans Transactions with Kaspersky, Firm to Close U.S. Division by July 20

The U.S. Commerce Department has banned transactions with Russian cybersecurity firm Kaspersky under ICTS authority. Following this decision last month, Kaspersky announced that business opportunities in the U.S. are no longer viable. Consequently, Kaspersky Lab is closing its U.S. division and laying off all associated workers. The ban on the sale of Kaspersky software in the U.S. will take effect starting July 20.
