MLBPA, FanDuel Ink Deal After Dismissing NIL Lawsuit
Nov 27, 2024, 03:55 AM
The Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), through its affiliate MLB Players Inc., has signed a non-exclusive licensing agreement with FanDuel. This deal allows for the introduction of innovative new player-centric features on FanDuel's online sportsbook platform. The agreement comes after the MLBPA dismissed its lawsuit against FanDuel over the use of players' names, images, and likenesses (NIL). The agreement also involves OneTeam Partners, a union commercial partner. Despite this resolution, lawsuits against other companies like Underdog, DraftKings, and Bet365 remain active.
