Jul 10, 2024, 10:52 PM
Former Red Hot Chili Peppers guitarist Josh Klinghoffer has been sued for wrongful death and negligence after allegedly striking and killing a pedestrian in Alhambra, California. The incident occurred in March when Klinghoffer, who was reportedly distracted by his cell phone, hit the pedestrian with his SUV, causing fatal blunt-force trauma. The pedestrian, identified as Israel Sanchez, was 47 years old and was at a crosswalk at the time of the accident. Video evidence suggests Klinghoffer was on his cell phone just moments before the fatal crash. Klinghoffer is currently a touring member of Pearl Jam.
