Former Uruguayan President José Mujica, aged 89, has announced that his esophageal cancer has spread to his liver, and he will not proceed with further treatment. Mujica stated, "I am dying," and requested to be left in peace, asking the media not to request more interviews. He expressed that his body cannot endure additional treatment and that "the warrior has the right to his rest." Mujica also indicated that he is preparing to be buried in the garden of his home next to his dog. His personal doctor, Raquel Pannone, confirmed the metastasis to his liver.
