Al Jazeera correspondent Ismail Al-Ghoul and his cameraman Rami Al-Rifi were killed in an Israeli airstrike on July 31, 2024, in Gaza City. The strike targeted their vehicle while they were covering news near the home of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in the Al-Shati refugee camp.
