OpenAI has launched GPT-4o mini, a smaller and more cost-efficient version of its powerful GPT-4o model. Described as 'the most capable and cost-efficient small model available today,' GPT-4o mini aims to expand the accessibility and use of AI through ChatGPT. The new model, going live today for free and pro users, will replace GPT-3.5 in ChatGPT and is expected to incorporate multimodal capabilities, including image, video, and audio processing. OpenAI plans to integrate these features later. GPT-4o mini is available in the Assistants API, Chat Completions API, and Batch API.
