The simulation, referred to as a cosmic simulation, covers an immense volume of 31 billion cubic megaparsecs, incorporating both dark matter and ordinary matter to provide unprecedented detail. The Frontier supercomputer, developed by HP and utilizing AMC chips, occupies 7,500 square feet at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory.
