England Bowler Brydon Carse Banned for 16 Months for Placing 303 Bets on Matches
May 31, 2024, 05:11 PM
England and Durham bowler Brydon Carse has been banned from all cricket for 16 months, with 13 months of the ban suspended for two years, following an anti-corruption investigation. Carse placed 303 bets on cricket matches between 2017 and 2019. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) stated that they take such matters extremely seriously and do not condone any form of anti-corruption breach in cricket. They supported the Cricket Regulator's decision and acknowledged Carse's cooperation and the mitigating factors in his case. Carse will serve a three-month suspension from playing cricket.
