Cowboys' DeMarvion Overshown Suffers Serious Right Knee Injury; McCarthy Says 'Didn't Look Good'
Dec 10, 2024, 03:46 AM
Cowboys linebacker DeMarvion Overshown suffered a serious right knee injury during Monday night's game against the Bengals. The injury occurred while he was tackling Chase Brown and engaged with offensive guard Alex Cappa when another Bengals lineman fell on him. Overshown required assistance to leave the field, putting very little pressure on his legs, and was taken directly to the X-ray room for evaluation. He was ruled out for the remainder of the game. The injury is particularly concerning as he missed his entire rookie season last year due to a torn ACL. Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy described the injury as 'of a serious nature' and stated that 'it didn't look good,' adding that the team is 'devastated,' indicating that Overshown may face another extended absence.
