China's 'White Emperor' Sixth-Generation Fighter Makes Maiden Flight Over Chengdu
Dec 26, 2024, 12:47 PM
China's sixth-generation fighter jet has reportedly made its maiden flight over Chengdu, according to multiple sources circulating on social media. The new aircraft, possibly named the 'Baidi' or 'White Emperor,' features a tailless flying wing design with delta wings extending to the canopy, indicating extreme stealth capabilities. Observers noted that the aircraft appears to be powered by three engines and may have capabilities for both air and space operations, potentially flying at supersonic speeds in space. The aircraft was accompanied by a J-20S, a two-seat variant of China's fifth-generation fighter, serving as a chase plane. Simultaneously, another sixth-generation fighter prototype from Shenyang Aircraft Corporation was also reportedly tested, suggesting significant advances in China's military aviation development. The unveiling coincided with the birthday of Mao Zedong on December 26.
