Trump Calls for Newsom's Resignation Over Los Angeles Wildfires, Cites Water Mismanagement

In posts on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated, "One of the best and most beautiful parts of the United States of America is burning down to the ground. It's ashes, and Gavin Newsom should resign. This is all his fault!" He accused Newsom of mismanaging the state's water resources, claiming environmental policies have led to a lack of water in fire hydrants. Trump argued that Newsom should have signed a declaration to pump more water through California to prevent the situation. He also criticized President Biden's administration for its handling of the disaster. In response, Governor Newsom accused Trump of politicizing the wildfires.
