Canadian Court Dismisses Charter and Constitutional Challenge by Two on No-Fly List
Jun 21, 2024, 08:30 AM
A Canadian Federal Appeal Court has dismissed a Charter and constitutional challenge by two individuals on the country's no-fly list. The individuals, Bhagat Singh Brar and Parvkar Singh Dulai, were listed under the Secure Air Travel Act for posing a terrorism threat. The court ruled that there are 'reasonable grounds' to suspect they would threaten transportation security or travel by air to commit a terrorism offence. The pair, identified as Sikh extremists and alleged Khalistan supporters, were placed on the no-fly list in 2018.
