Father of Akshay Shinde Seeks Burial Spot After Police Encounter in Badlapur Case

The father of Akshay Shinde, the accused in the Badlapur sexual assault case who was killed in an alleged police encounter, has approached the Bombay High Court seeking a burial spot for his son. The court has directed that all case papers be handed over to the state CID, which will conduct a probe into Shinde's death. Shinde's family has also demanded police protection to perform his last rites. The matter is set to be heard at 1 pm today. Shinde was killed in retaliatory firing in police custody, and his family has also submitted a plea regarding space for his last rites.
