Blue Origin, founded by Jeff Bezos, is set to launch its New Glenn rocket for the first time, with the inaugural flight now scheduled for no earlier than Sunday, January 12. The launch was postponed from its original date of January 10 due to high sea states in the Atlantic, where the company plans to land the rocket's first stage on a barge named 'Jacklyn.' The New Glenn rocket, standing at 320 feet tall and 98 meters in height, aims to reach low-Earth orbit and deploy a Blue Ring Pathfinder, a demonstrator for future satellite deployment capabilities. The rocket is designed to carry up to 45 tonnes of payload into orbit, marking a significant step for Blue Origin as it seeks to compete with SpaceX in the commercial launch industry.
