Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has successfully commenced production of advanced 4nm chips at its facility in Arizona, marking a significant milestone in U.S. semiconductor manufacturing. The chips are reportedly achieving yields and quality comparable to those produced in Taiwan. TSMC's Arizona plant is now supplying chips for major clients, including Apple and AMD. The success of Apple Silicon has also contributed to AMD's development of its Ryzen AI Max chips. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo confirmed the achievement, highlighting the significance of this production for U.S. customers.
