The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has undertaken a demolition drive targeting illegal constructions encroaching on water bodies in Telangana. As part of this initiative, HYDRAA demolished the N-Convention Centre in Madhapur, owned by Telugu actor Akkineni Nagarjuna, near Shilparamam in Rangareddy district. The demolition is part of a broader effort to address encroachments on protected zones, with Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka noting that 491 out of 920 water bodies in and around Hyderabad have been encroached.
