FIA Requests McLaren to Modify Controversial Rear Wing Design Ahead of Baku and Singapore GPs
Sep 20, 2024, 11:28 AM
The FIA is considering action over flexi rear wings in Formula 1 following controversy generated by McLaren's 'mini-DRS' rear wing design. Despite McLaren's rear wing complying with the rules, the FIA has asked the team to modify the design. McLaren has agreed to make minor adjustments to the wing, which will be implemented from the Baku Grand Prix. The team expects the FIA to have similar conversations with other teams regarding the compliance of their rear wings. Ferrari boss Fred Vasseur has commented on the controversy, calling it a 'black and white' matter. The issue arose during the Singapore GP.
