BCCI Announces INR 7.5 Lakh IPL Match Fee for 2025
Sep 28, 2024, 02:19 PM
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a significant change to the Indian Premier League (IPL) match fee structure starting from the 2025 season. According to BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, each player will receive a match fee of INR 7.5 lakh per game. This new structure means that a cricketer playing all league matches in a season will earn INR 1.05 crore in addition to their contracted amount. Each IPL franchise will allocate INR 12.60 crore for match fees for the entire season. This move is seen as a historic and pathbreaking change aimed at benefiting the players financially.
