Google DeepMind Names AI Chip Design Method 'AlphaChip', Now Open-Sourced

Google DeepMind has officially named its AI method for chip design 'AlphaChip'. Initially introduced in 2020, AlphaChip uses reinforcement learning to optimize ASIC chip floorplanning and layout, creating superhuman chip layouts.
