Ex-Abercrombie CEO Mike Jeffries Pleads Not Guilty to Sex Trafficking, Released on $10M Bail
Oct 25, 2024, 05:30 PM
Former Abercrombie & Fitch CEO Mike Jeffries has been arrested on federal charges of sex trafficking and interstate prostitution. Prosecutors allege that from 2008 to 2015, Jeffries, 80, and his romantic partner ran an international sex trafficking ring, coercing young men into engaging in sexual acts through force, fraud, and coercion, including drug-fueled sex parties, with promises of modeling opportunities for the clothing retailer. Fifteen alleged victims have come forward. Jeffries, who led Abercrombie & Fitch from 1992 to 2014, pleaded not guilty to the charges in a Long Island court through his attorney and was released after posting a $10 million bail secured by his home in Florida. Abercrombie & Fitch has distanced itself from its former CEO, stating its commitment to fully cooperate with law enforcement as the legal process continues.
