Beirut Airport Bans Pagers, Walkie-Talkies, and Radios After Explosions
Sep 19, 2024, 09:58 AM
Lebanon's Civil Aviation Authority has implemented a ban on pagers, walkie-talkies, and radios on planes. This decision follows a series of incidents where hundreds of these devices exploded across the country on Tuesday and Wednesday. The ban affects all airlines operating at Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport, prohibiting passengers from carrying these devices in their luggage, hand luggage, or cargo. Airport authorities have instructed airlines to inform passengers of the new regulations, which are to remain in effect until further notice.
