22-Year-Old Russian National Amin Timovich Stigal Charged in Cyber Attacks on Ukraine and U.S., $10 Million Reward Offered

Amin Timovich Stigal, a 22-year-old Russian citizen, has been charged by a federal grand jury in Maryland for his alleged involvement in criminal cyber activities targeting Ukrainian critical infrastructure between August 2021 and February 2022. The charges include conspiracy to hack into and destroy computer systems and data in Ukraine and allied countries, including the United States. The FBI, in collaboration with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Maryland, announced the charges and stated that Stigal conspired with Russian military intelligence in advance of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. A reward of up to $10 million is being offered for information leading to his capture.
