Penn State defeated Boise State 31-14 in the Fiesta Bowl, securing a spot in the College Football Playoff semifinals. The game, held at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, saw Penn State quarterback Drew Allar throw three touchdown passes, including a 38-yard TD pass to Omari Evans and two to Tyler Warren. The Nittany Lions' defense effectively contained Boise State's Heisman Trophy runner-up Ashton Jeanty, limiting him to 104 rushing yards on 30 carries. Running backs Kaytron Allen and Nick Singleton contributed significantly to the victory, with Allen rushing for 134 yards and Singleton sealing the win with a 58-yard touchdown run.
