Alex Jones' Infowars to Be Auctioned for $1.5 Billion Starting November 13
Sep 25, 2024, 02:49 AM
A federal bankruptcy judge in Houston has ruled that Alex Jones' Infowars media platform and its assets will be auctioned off to help pay over $1.5 billion in damages owed to the families of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting victims. The auctions, set to begin on November 13, will liquidate Infowars' trademarks, copyrights, intellectual property, and other assets. This ruling follows a defamation lawsuit where Jones was ordered to pay $1.5 billion for repeatedly calling the 2012 school shooting a hoax. U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Christopher Lopez will oversee the auctions.
