Ukrainian Forces Destroy Rare Russian Zemledeliye Minelaying System in Pokrovsk
Jul 21, 2024, 03:36 PM
Ukrainian forces, specifically the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade, successfully destroyed a rare Russian Zemledeliye remote minelaying system in the Pokrovsk direction. The system, which fires 122mm solid-fuel rockets loaded with various types of mines, such as anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, was discovered by the brigade's UAV reconnaissance team. The system is capable of mining an area the size of several football fields over a range of 5-15 km. The destruction was achieved by a Ukrainian drone strike at night, resulting in secondary explosions as the mines detonated.
