Ukraine Captures 530 Sq Km in Kursk Region's Sudzha District, Raises Flag in Guevo
Aug 11, 2024, 08:18 AM
Ukrainian forces have made significant territorial gains in the Kursk region of Russia, capturing approximately 530 square kilometers of land. This includes the strategic village of Guevo in the southern part of the Sudzha district, where the Ukrainian flag has been raised over the town council building. Ukrainian forces have also consolidated gains north of Sudzha, taking several towns up to Cherkasskoe Porochnoe. These advances mark a notable shift, as Ukraine has captured more territory in the past few days than Russia has in the last six months. The Ukrainian Army's movements have been visually confirmed, with drone footage and other sources corroborating the extent of the gains.
