This decision follows over a year of negotiations between the team owners, Jimmy and Dee Haslam, and Cleveland Mayor Justin Bibb, who had hoped to renovate the current lakefront stadium. The Browns' lease at Huntington Bank Field expires in 2028, and the new stadium is expected to be ready for the 2029 season.
