On September 27, 2024, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his wife, and brother-in-law were named in an FIR registered by the Mysuru Lokayukta police concerning alleged irregularities in land allotment by the Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA). The FIR was filed under sections 351, 420, 340, 120B, and IPC 09 of the Indian Penal Code, following a Special Court's directive in Bengaluru after the Karnataka High Court upheld the prosecution's nod.
