Kansas Leads Colorado 20-7 at Arrowhead; Devin Neal Scores Twice, Sanders Sets TD Record
Nov 23, 2024, 09:36 PM
Kansas University dominated the first half against No. 16 Colorado at Arrowhead Stadium, leading 20-7. The Jayhawks' running back Devin Neal had an impressive performance, scoring two touchdowns, including his 50th career touchdown, and accumulating over 130 yards of offense by halftime. Kansas opened the scoring with a 51-yard touchdown pass from Jalon Daniels to Neal, capping a six-play, 73-yard drive. Neal added a second touchdown with a nine-yard run after a 47-yard run set up the score, putting Kansas ahead 17-0 with 9:02 remaining in the second quarter. Kansas amassed 264 total yards in the first half and scored on every drive. Colorado responded with a 51-yard touchdown pass from Shedeur Sanders to Travis Hunter, bringing the score to 17-7. This touchdown pass marked Sanders' 47th consecutive game with a touchdown pass, setting a Division I record previously held by Marshall's Rakeem Cato. Despite the Buffaloes' efforts, Kansas extended the lead to 20-7 with a 23-yard field goal by Tabor Allen late in the first half.
