Georgia QB Carson Beck Undergoes Tommy John Surgery; Out for Season Ahead of CFP vs. Notre Dame
Dec 23, 2024, 11:28 PM
Georgia Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck underwent successful Tommy John surgery on Monday to repair the ulnar collateral ligament (UCL) in his right elbow, officially ruling him out for the remainder of the season, including the College Football Playoff. The procedure was performed by renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. Neal ElAttrache in Los Angeles. Beck is expected to make a full recovery, with plans to resume throwing in the spring of 2025. In his absence, backup quarterback Gunner Stockton will lead the Bulldogs as they face Notre Dame in the CFP quarterfinals.
