Qatar's Foreign Ministry announced that a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip will commence on Sunday, January 19, at 8:30 am local time (06:30 GMT). Majed al-Ansari, the ministry's spokesperson, confirmed the timing and advised Gaza residents to exercise maximum caution and await instructions from official sources. The announcement follows the Israeli government's approval of the agreement. Qatar, a key mediator in the negotiations, facilitated the agreement between the parties.
